Well its been a long time since I posted an article on the site, and its nice to see things are still going strong.

Things seem to be moving quickly, there are more and more commercial based "mix hosting sites" appearing, fair play to them I say, but djmixtape still strivevs to be free for the punters, and still give you the best possible service.

Djmixtape started as a project was back in 2003 and 7 years on is still going strong. It doesn't look the best but its functional. Actually that brings me onto this...

I know I've said time and time again that we are redesigning the site. So far we have been through 8 designs and most getting binned as I'm just not happy with it. Rest assured though, we are working on something that should keep everyone happy. Sadly there is no ETC on this though, as my own personal life is pretty busy these days, and other members of the djmt team also have very hectic schedules!

We are now running off the new server and about time too! The good thing about this is no more removing mixes that have been idle for 30 days! :)

Yes thats right, if you don't fancy waiting for a mix to download you can now stream a mix, maybe skip through it to see if its your cup of tea and then download it later - or if you think its rubbish don't download it at all!

Just simply go to the mix info page and click the stream link! Simple.

We have set up a streaming service that runs 24/7! It currently just streams random mixes hosted on djmixtape.net - but soon you will be able to DJ, LIVE, to the world!
